Getting hot and steamy

Another day off for me today, a bonus really as it was down to someone at work owing me a shift. I took it today as I was hopeful that there may be a change at work that meant he wouldn't be able to do it in the future.....as it turns out that's not happening but it was still nice to have an extra day off

As I was around this morning, Jac didn't have a parking space at work and it was raining, I followed her up to nursery to drop off Amelia and then took her to work, leaving her car at nursery. It was only upon arriving at her office that we realised, since I'm off today, that I could have just given her a lift to work...never mind, it saved me going out again in rush hour to collect her

Back home and after a little tv, it was time to hit the gym. My hamstring has been hurting for the last few days, yet strangely whilst it hurts when walking, it isn't effected by hamstring curls...odd. Still, managed to increase my weight on everything, including squats which I was very happy with. Still a long way to go but progress is progress

Lunch followed, my favourite, pasta and meatballs...mmmmm

Then it was off to the cinema. There aren't many people to socialise with on weekdays when you're a shift worker, but luckily a friend of mine has rotating days off and today was one of them. We went to see a film I'd been anxiously awaiting the release of 'Bullet to the Head' starring Sylvester Stallone.

Now I don't want to ruin the film for you....ill let Stallone do that. But seriously, it wasn't as good as I was expecting, and I actually found myself getting bored which considering its only 90 minutes long, and I sat through 3 hours of Django the other week, is a bit of a shame. Still, if you like Sly, and you like a bit of action, it's a good way to pass an hour and a half...and a great excuse for popcorn

I came back from the cinema ready to get hot and steamy, my wife wasn't at home which was perfect as its difficult to do when she's here, she always suggests paying the other woman, but it's just not the same and I'm too tight to pay for it. Anyway, after a good hard few hours, and moving all around the living room and the bedroom, the ironing was done.....for another few days at least

Tonight's dinner shall be consumed over a movie with my beloved, 'This is 40' is the movie in question and I'm hoping for a laugh a minute romantic comedy. Having only seen the first scene, the starring couple having sex in the shower with the assistance of Viagra, it's off to a reasonable start. (I guess most people would expect a reference to it being a 'hard' film to get into, or something related to stiffness, but I'm afraid with regard to stiffness, ill have to disappoint you)

Picture wise tonight I shall leave you with a form of training I might find easier, a royal breaking of wind on the tube and the unfortunate reality of intergalactic weapon ownership

Bye bye for now
